After dominating Carvers Bay in Week 1, Waccamaw traveled to the Aynor Blue Jackets Aug. 30 and lost 54-13.

Aynor won the toss and drove straight down the field in less than two minutes, scoring on a 14-yard run and giving the home team a quick 6-0 advantage. On Waccamaw’s first possession, the Warriors fumbled the ball giving the ball right back to the Blue Jackets, who scored two plays later on a 1-yard run, making it 12-0.

Aynor kicked an onside kick, which the Warriors recovered. However, the team fumbled and gave the ball right back to the Blue Jackets who scored again at the 8:05 mark of the first quarter, making it 18-0.

Aynor added another touchdown near the end of the first quarter, putting the Warriors in a 25-0 hole. With 5:59 to go until halftime, quarterback Denson Crisler found Kam Green in the end zone for a Waccamaw touchdown, making it 25-6.

The Blue Jackets added one more touchdown before halftime, making the score 33-6. They made it 40-6 shortly after coming back from halftime on another touchdown.

With 7:45 to go in the game, the Blue Jackets intercepted Crisler for a pick-six, making the score 47-6. The Warriors scored on a 65-yard touchdown run by running back Kaimon Skinner making the score 47-13 with 7:15 to go in the game.

Aynor scored one last time after a Waccamaw turnover making the final score 54-13.

Crisler was 5-15 for 54 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Skinner had 12 rushes for 94 yards, one touchdown, and one fumble. Green had three catches for 45 yards, one touchdown, and one fumble.

On defense, Walker Parler led the way with three assists and seven tackles.

The Warriors next scheduled game is Sept 6. at home against Andrews.
