Caroline Warren, a rising junior at Brown University, was recently named a Scholastic All-American by the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association.
Warren, a International Relations major, is a member of the gymnastics team at the campus located in Providence, Rhode Island. She was selected as a first-time honoree, while her other teammates boasted 9 other All-Academic recipients.
Her team also posted the highest team GPA in the Ivy League as well as Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). Those who earned Scholastic All-America honors maintained at least a 3.5 GPA.
Warren is a 2017 graduate of the Lowcountry Preparatory School and was the Valedictorian of her class. She is a former South Carolina State Champion and Southeastern Regional All-Around Gymnastics Champion and is also on the ECAC All-Academic team.
Brown’s three-time honorees included seniors Morgan Hagenbuch (Norwich, N.Y.), Gabrielle Hechtman (Bellmore, N.Y.), and Cassidy Jung (San Marino, Calif.).
The Bears’ second-time selections comprised senior Julia Green (Exton, Pa.), junior Erin Howell (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.), and sophomores Rose Domonoske (Park City, Utah) and Emma Hansen (Cincinnati, Ohio).
The team’s two other first-time honorees included freshmen Mei Li Costa (Lawrenceville, N.J.) and Sophia Petrillo (Stoneham, Mass.).
The WCGA was previously known as the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W).
