The Lowcountry Preparatory School fall sports season finished on a high note.
Under first year head coach Anthony Crawley, the Girls volleyball team finished second in the Region, advancing to the second round of the SCISA State Tournament. The team was led by Co-Captain Lucy Joseph who earned All-Region Player of the Year Runner Up and All-State selection to the North-South All-Star team. Sophomore Paris Sorensen also made the All-Region team, for the second year in a row, after another strong season.
Under the leadership of Coach / Headmaster Col. Scott Gibson III, USAF (Ret), the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams went undefeated in the region. The Girls finished second at the State Finals while the boys brought home fourth. Freshman Sailor Reardon earned Region Female Runner of the Year, winning every SCISA meet, finishing sixth in the Horry County Championships and taking home third at the SCISA State Finals, earning All State Recognition. Seventh grader Avery Milling earned Region Female Runner-Up for the season, finishing a close second in SCISA meets, eleventh at the Horry County Championships held in late October and finished fourth at the SCISA State Finals, also earning her All State Recognition. For the boys, Junior Ford McClary earned Region Male Runner of the Year with fellow Junior Blake Joseph finishing as the Runner Up. Coach Gibson was recognized as the Region Coach of the year for the second consecutive season.
Swimming Sophomore Molly Tate earned All State recognition for the second consecutive year after her outstanding season in the pool. She took home second in the 100 Butterfly and third in the 50 Free Style events at the State Finals earlier last month in North Augusta.
