On Sept. 12, Carvers Bay beat Andrews in 4 sets; 25-23, 21-25, 27-25 and 25-10. Dalyn Baker led the Bears with 16 hits with 3 kills and 16 serves with 3 aces. Sonjai Guiles had 13 kills, 2 kill blocks, and 16 serves and Dymin Coles had 12 kills and 1 kill block. Carvers Bay improved to 4-1 for the season.

On Sept. 12 St. James traveled to West Florence for their first region contest of the season. The Lady Sharks won 3-0 with set scores of 25-13, 25-17 and 25-15. The Sharks were led by Nina Pugliese with 10 Kills, Tori Tackett with a season high 21 assists, Merrill Micolajczyk with 7 digs and Emma Wester with a top notch hitting percentage of .750.


On Sept. 11, Georgetown beat Waccamaw in a JV tennis match. Ellie Toemmes and Jayden Bailey beat the Warriors 8-2.

On Sept. 12, Georgetown High girls’ varsity team was defeated by Bishop England 7-0.
