The regular season has come to an end and three Georgetown County high school football teams begin their quest for Lower State titles Friday.

Andrews (8-2) host Garrett Academy (3-7) in the first round of the Class AA playoffs.

After starting the season 3-2, the Yellow Jackets won their final five games to clinch a No. 2 seed in Lower State. The Falcons lost their final three games of the season.

The winner of the Andrews/Garrett Academy will play Barnwell in round two. The War Horses have a bye in round one.

Carvers Bay (9-1) hosts Calhoun County (2-8) in the first round of the Class AA playoffs.

In their nine victories this season, the Bears outscored opponents 378-99. In their eight losses, the Saints were outscored 359-92.

The winner of the Carvers Bay/Calhoun County game will play the winner of the Woodland/Silver Bluff game in round two.

If Carvers Bay continues to win, the Bears would host games all the way through the Lower State playoffs, including the championship game.

Georgetown (6-4) hosts Swansea (4-6) in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs.

After starting the season 0-3, the Bulldogs went 6-1 down the stretch, losing only to undefeated Dillon. After starting the season 1-5, the Tigers won three out of their last four games.

The winner of the Georgetown/Swansea game will play the winner of the Timberland/May River game. If Timberland wins, they would host. If May River wins, they would have to travel to Georgetown or Swansea.
