Waccamaw High and Georgetown High competed in the Class 3A Region 7 golf match at Wedgefield Plantation April 29. Bishop England, Manning, Hanahan and Academic Magnet all traveled to Georgetown to participate.

Waccamaw finished second with a score of 326 and claimed a spot in the Lower State tournament while Bishop England took home the Region 7 championship with a score of 300. Hanahan (346) and Academic Magnet (349) rounded out the top four and secured spots in the Lower State tournament.

Georgetown shot a 361 as a team while Manning finished with a score of 450. Georgetown’s James Gore shot an 82 and qualified for Lower State as an individual. Manning’s Grayson Harrelson won a sudden death hole over Georgetown’s Trace Adams to claim the second individual spot.
