Cephis Anderson

Cephis Anderson died on August 8, 2019 at Tidelands Waccamaw Rehabilitation Hospital, Murrells Inlet, SC. Funeral services were held on August 12, 2019 at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Alphonso N. Scott, M. Div., pastor.

Mr. Anderson was born in Georgetown County on July 22, 1935 to Luther Anderson and Mary Gamble Anderson. He was joined in holy matrimony to the former Clara Hammond on January 23, 1964. To this union two children were born. His wife, parents, and four brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Anderson worked at various stores and on October 12, 1976 he opened Anderson Furniture & Appliance Company. He attended the public schools of Georgetown County, and was involved in numerous businesses and community positions. At an early age, Cephis accepted Christ as his personal Savior, and joined Mt. Ararat A.M.E. Church. In 1956, he joined Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. W. A. Johnson. During his tenure he served faithfully as a Deacon.

Surviving are his daughters: Cheryl A. (Gregory) Russell and Catrell M. Anderson of Georgetown, SC; his siblings, Leitha A. Manigault, Georgetown, SC, Terry Anderson, New York, NY, and Romeo Anderson, Atlanta, GA; Zanderner S. Anderson of Charlotte, NC (whom he reared as his own); special nephew, Rev. Dr. Carl L. Anderson, Georgetown, SC. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Reginald Denzel Manigault

Reginald Denzel Manigault died on August 4, 2019 in Hollywood, South Carolina. Funeral services were held on August 10, 2019 at Lighthouse of Jesus Christ, Bishop Floyd Knowlin, pastor. The service was conducted by Rev. Thurmond Cameron, pastor of Lilly Pond Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Manigault was born on July 17, 1996 in the South Santee Section of McClellanville, SC to Tyesher Dottery and Reginald Manigault. He was predeceased by a brother, Justus Manigault.

He attended St. James Santee Lincoln Middle-High and graduated from Georgetown High School in 2014. While in high school he worked at TW Graham Restaurant. He obtained certification in Welding in 2016 at Tulsa School of Welding, Jacksonville, FL, and was subsequently employed at BW Mitchum as a professional welder. His first love was his four year old son, Aiden. He was also a faithful member of 1320 Sand Land Racing Group of Santee. Surviving are his son, Aiden Maurice Manigault (and girlfriend, Moneisha, Aiden’s mother); his parents Tyesher Dottery and Reginald Manigault; his siblings, Kiara Dottery, Gelisa Dottery, Jasmine Middleton, and Ishamel Manigault; his grandparents, Geneva Dottery, Sank Cameron, and William Smith (Edith); Jackie Manigault (Deborah). Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Carolyn Paschal Saunders

Carolyn Lavon Paschal Saunders, 77, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 in National Health Care of Garden City. A graveside funeral service, officiated by Reverend Aubrey Floyd, was held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 1PM at Rose Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Born on July 27, 1942 in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Dalton William Paschal and Nell Altman Paschal. Mrs. Saunders was a graduate of both Winyah High School and University of South Carolina. She lived in Virginia and Maryland before returning to Georgetown to work in real estate. Mrs. Saunders retired from James W. Smith Realty and spent her free time reading books and enjoying the company of family and friends. Surviving are her two sons, Robert Dalton Saunders of Pawleys Island and Brian Paschal Saunders of Surfside; a sister, Debra Paschal Tyson and her husband Phillip of Georgetown; a nephew, Adam Spencer Tyson and his wife Joy of Goose Creek; a niece, Chelsea Ellen Gibson of Richardson, Texas; one great nephew, Lincoln Wyatt Gilbert of Goose Creek; one great niece, Lucille Knox Tyson of Goose Creek.
