Susanna Jolene Goude and Robert Eugene Christenbery III, both of Charleston, were married at 6:30 p.m. on Sat., May 10, 2014.
The bride is the daughter of Vanessa and Eddie Joe Goude of Hemingway. She is a 2008 graduate of Johnsonville High School.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2012 with a BS in Biological Sciences and from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2014 with a Masters in Health Administration.
She is employed as a healthcare consultant with Deloitte & Touche in Charlotte, NC.
The groom is the son of Karen-Ann and Robert Eugene Christenbery Jr. of Charlotte, NC. He is a 2004 graduate of Charlotte Country Day School.
He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2008 with a BS in Biological Sciences and from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2012 with a Masters in Biomedical Science.
He is currently attending the Medical University of South Carolina’s Physician Assistant Program.
The Reverend Jeremy Howell, United Methodist Minister of Hanahan and the bride’s former pastor, performed the ceremony at the Dunes West Golf and River Club in Mount Pleasant.
Travis Carter, pianist and soloist of Hemingway performed “Surely the Presence” (Wolfe) and “What a Wonderful World” (Thiel and Weiss).
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a trumpet gown with an embellished, corded lace bodice and an organza semi-cathedral train.
The bride’s veil was a two layer fingertip, corded edge chiffon veil with a crystal embellished tiara.
The bride carried a white bouquet of hydrangeas, mini calla lilies, stephanotis, wrapped with white ribbon and pearl pinned.
Maids of Honor were Savanna Goude of Charleston and Joanna Goude of Columbia, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Barletta of Hoboken, NJ; Kate Burnett of Durham, NC; Lindsay Carter of Charlotte, NC; and Catherine Kelley of Richmond, Va.
Best men were Robert Christenbery Jr., father of the groom, and Charles Christenbery, brother of the groom, both of Charlotte, NC. Groomsmen were Coleman Carter of Charlotte, NC; Nickolas May of Rock Hill; Bradley Mendenhall of Charleston; and Brandon Whiteside of Charleston.
The reception was held at Dunes West Golf and River Club, Mount Pleasant.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Charleston Harbor Fish House in Mount Pleasant on May 9 at 6 p.m. and was hosted by the groom’s parents.
The bridal luncheon was held at Blossom in Charleston, on May 10 at 11a.m. The luncheon was hosted by the bride’s aunt, Katrena McClellan, and close family friends, Joan Cribb and Lynn Turner.
In April, a bachelorette weekend was held in Savannah, GA, hosted by the bride’s sisters and very close friends.
A bachelor weekend hosted by the groom’s brother and close friends was held on Fripp Island.
A bridal shower was held at Good Hope United Methodist Church, Hemingway on March 23 at 2 p.m. The shower was given by the bride’s church family.
An oyster roast was held at the home of the bride’s aunt and uncle, Kristi and Marty Squires in Hemingway on Feb. 22 at 5 p.m.
The party was hosted by the bride’s aunts, Kristi Squires, Mirandi Squires, Teresa Squires, and Penelope Timbes.
A bridal shower luncheon was held at Poogan’s Porch in Charleston on Feb. 1 at noon. The luncheon was hosted by the groom’s aunt, Bentha Wilson, and her daughter, Camille Bell.
After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Charleston.
