The annual meeting of the Low Country Warbirds will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 at Wedgefield Plantation Manor House in Georgetown.

“We’re looking for World War II, Korean, Vietnam, Gulf War, and active duty military aviators and crew to attend,” said former Huey helicopter pilot Wyndell Peacock. "Each year we reach out to former combat aviators and crew to join our group to celebrate and remember all who have contributed to the defense of our country."

To increase our membership, please invite a friend or buddy who also served so we can have a large turnout for our once a year meeting.

The Low Country Warbirds was formed in 1955 by the late John McCormac, a former World War II pilot. All former and present day military aviators and crew are welcome to attend.

Pat Waters, son of General John K. Waters and grandson of General George S. Patton, will be the guest speaker. Pat served off the coast of Viet Nam aboard the USS Braine and has been flying since he was 16.

The social hour begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch and presentation. The cost is $30 which includes lunch, tax and gratuity.
