Georgetown deputies have 20-year-old Malachi Thompson in custody. Georgetown police said that Thompson surrendered to authorities Wed. night.

Thompson was arrested as a murder suspect in connection in a fatal shooting on the 200 block of Legion Street on Monday night. He is charged with murder, armed robbery and criminal domestic-2nd offense.

Two people, Kawaun Montique Myers, 33, and Cotlin Brad Anderson, 22, of Georgetown were shot that night. Both men were rushed to the hospital but Myers was pronounced dead while Anderson survived. On Wednesday morning, Anderson was released from the hospital and is in custody charged with murder along with Matthew Elliot, 22, who was charged with murder Tuesday.

Thompson was booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center around 12:19 a.m. No bail has been set and Thompson remains in the center as of 10:15 a.m. Thursday.
