Georgetown County Sheriff Office announces the arrest of two individuals in connection with a burglary.
On Friday, the sheriff’s office received a report of two individuals inside a woman’s home on North Fraser Street. The resident confronted the intruders, who then fled on foot. Responding deputies and investigators were quickly able to locate the suspects and take 39-year old Derrick Nelson Stone of Georgetown and 31-year old Sara Lynn Bonner of Andrews into custody.
Both were found to be in possession of items belonging to the victim(s), both on their person and in a vehicle that Stone had been utilizing nearby.
Stone faces charges of burglary in the 2nd Degree (Violent) and felony looting during state of emergency while Bonner faces a charge of accessory after the fact to a Class D felony.
Stone and Bonner were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center. They both remain incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
