The City of Georgetown Police Department assisted Horry County Police and US Marshalls in the arrest of Bradford Britton, 40 years old, in connection with a double homicide that occurred in Horry County.
Police located a silver Volkswagen Jetta that had been used in the Horry County homicide at 328 S. Kaminski St. in Georgetown. Georgetown Police secured the perimeter and waited for Horry County Police and US Marshalls to arrive. Britton was arrested and taken into custody by US Marshals without incident.
On Friday, July 26, two people were killed during an attempted robbery at Waccamaw Bingo in Horry County. It has not been officially confirmed that the double homicide associated with Britton is the same.
Britton was being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center as of the writing of this report.
Britton is also wanted in Texas for drug charges and child support as well as Lexington County, SC for assault.
