Smallfoot will kickoff the "Movies in the Park" film series at Rainey Park on Front Street in Georgetown.

There’s nothing quite like enjoying a movie with your neighbors in Rainey Park on Front Street. The City of Georgetown will host the first in a series of “Movies in the Park” on Friday, June 14 with a viewing of the Warner Brothers’ film "Smallfoot."

"Smallfoot" puts a new twist on the Yeti myth showing us the world as seen through the eyes of these mystical creatures who have their own language, society and technology as well as their own myth about “Smallfoot,” who we know as humans. It is a clever tale with wholesome humor for the entire family accompanied with a message about having the strength to move past myth and propaganda in order to find truth and a love for others.

Bring your chairs and blankets in order to watch this film under stars. The movie will begin around 8:15 to accompany sunset. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
