Free tickets for the 30th Annual Singing Christmas Tree at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown are now available.
These tickets may be picked up at the church office, located at 219 Cleland Street, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
The dates for this year’s Singing Christmas Tree will be Friday through Monday, December 13-16 at 7:00 pm each evening; there will also be a matinee at 3:00 on Saturday, December 14.
Each presentation will be preceded by a Prelude Concert beginning 45 minutes before each presentation that features various local artists performing music of the season.
Tickets are required up to 15 minutes prior to each Tree service; persons attending are encouraged to arrive early.
For thirty years, First Baptist Church has offered the Singing Christmas Tree as its “Christmas gift to the community.”
The presentation is highlighted by an 80-voice choir singing in a 23-foot tree with live greenery accompanied by live musicians.
This year’s program features the amazing Christmas arrangements of Chris Tomlin, one of the leading Christian artists and worship leaders in the world.
Of course, there will be spectacular lighting and, most importantly, a dramatic rendering of the story of the birth of Jesus Christ.
The community is invited to come and participate in this unique and inspirational Christmas worship experience.
Tens of thousands of people have attended over the years.
If you’ve never seen it (and even if you have), you will not want to miss this season’s presentation of what has become one of Georgetown’s most beloved holiday traditions.
First Baptist Church is located at the corner of Highmarket and Cleland Streets.
