Scolari-Williams wedding

Kristen Elise Scolari and Edward Lucas Williams Jr. were married on Saturday, May 25.

Kristen Elise Scolari of Myrtle Beach and Edward Lucas Williams Jr. of Myrtle Beach were married on Saturday, May 25, at Hobcaw House at Hobcaw Barony in Georgetown, South Carolina.

The bride’s grandfather, Mr. Robert Tucker of Charlotte, North Carolina, officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony followed by a reception.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Christopher Scolari of Murrells Inlet and Mr. and Mrs. Guy and Stephanie Brett of Myrtle Beach. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Diane Tucker of Charlotte, North Carolina, and the late Ms. Penelope “Pene” Tucker of Surfside Beach, South Carolina. She is a graduate of Socastee High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in finance from the Coastal Carolina University and a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on finance from Coastal Carolina University. She is employed by Interfor US Inc in Georgetown.

The groom is the son of Mr. Edward Lucas Williams and Ms. Linda Allen Williams, both of Myrtle Beach. He is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Cato Williams and the late Mr. Edward “Eddie” Eugene Williams of Myrtle Beach, the late Mr. Bennie Francis Allen Sr. of Aynor, and the late Mrs. Opal Hardee Allen of Aynor. He is a graduate of Socastee High School and continued his education at Horry Georgetown Technical College. He has ownership in cattle ranches in South Florida and owns and manages Lawshe Plantation.

Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride wore an ivory gown, designed by Modern Trousseau, with an off the shoulder bodice for the ceremony and a large bow that clipped to the back of the dress with a cathedral length train. The gown was a classic style with a low cut back and a removable bolero that the bride removed for the reception, transitioning the dress into a beautiful, sweetheart neckline with loose, off the shoulder cap-sleeves. She carried a bouquet of simple white garden roses, featuring a dusty blue ribbon of fabric, tying the bouquet together.

Mrs. Erica Frankie Scolari of Myrtle Beach, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Miss Jacquelyn Marrella of Virginia Beach, friend of the bride, Mrs. Hallie Diagne of Tampa, FL, friend of the bride, Ms. Morgan Williams of Myrtle Beach, sister of the groom, and Ms. Autumn Basehart, friend of the bride, all served as bridesmaids.

Mr. Edward Lucas Williams of Myrtle Beach, father of the groom, served as best man. Mr. Ryan Clay of Myrtle Beach, friend of the groom, Mr. John Gump of Myrtle Beach, friend of the groom, Mr. Charles Purvis of Conway, cousin of the groom, and Mr. Hunter Morris of Myrtle Beach, brother of the bride, all served as groomsmen.

Ms. Jordyn Tucker, cousin of the bride, and Mr. Cayden Macklen, son of the groom, served as junior bridesmaid and junior groomsman.

Following their honeymoon to the Riviera Maya region of Mexico, the couple will reside on Black River in Andrews, South Carolina.
