The Waccamaw Public Library will highlight the works of two local artists this summer.
Jan Luptowski is a Murrells Island resident and graduate of Michigan State University. Her “lighthearted and whimsical” watercolors will be available for viewing during the summer. Subjects range from brightly plumaged birds to zany chefs doing their culinary magic in the kitchen. Her work is known to inspire laughter and fun.
The photography of Phil Filiatrault will also be featured this summer. His work is focused on the natural world and has earned awards at the South Carolina Sportsman’s Classic as well as the South Carolina State Fair. Originally from Milwaukee, he now calls Georgetown home and is a coordinator for the Carolinas Nature Photographers Association, The Myrtle Beach Club, the Seacoast Artist Build and is a member of the Tidelands Photography Club.
Both artists’ work will be available for viewing throughout June and August.
Visit the Waccamaw Library at 41 St. Paul Place in Pawleys Island to see the artistic endeavors in person.
