Horry-Georgetown Technical College will host an open house on its Georgetown Campus on Wednesday, June 12, from 4 p.m. until 6.pm. to educate members of the community about program offerings and to assist with the application and financial aid processes.
Participants will learn more about the new Georgetown Center for Advanced Manufacturing as well as HGTC’s nursing and forestry and wildlife programs.
Application fees will be waived for all participants, and admissions and financial aid counselors will be available to answer questions and assist with the application and registration processes. Light refreshments will be served.
Registration for the open house is available online. Fall classes begin August 26, and there is still time to enroll.
About the Georgetown Center for Advanced Manufacturing:
The new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Georgetown will be home to advanced welding technologies, machine tool technology, and the mechatronics technology programs. The center is projected to support more than $14 million in new capital investment in the community over the next five years, and Georgetown employers project over 240 jobs will be needed in manufacturing over the next two to five years.
