Jalee Rogers of Georgetown Middle School and Sarah Weathers of Waccamaw Middle School were each selected as first place winners in the Georgetown Soil And Water Conservation District photography contest. The annual contest was open to all seventh-grade students in Georgetown County.

Jalee claimed first prize in three separate categories: Trees and Plants, Rural Life, and Native Wildlife.

Sarah took top honors in the Landscapes category.

Both winners received a certificate and a cash award for their photography.
