Mari Allene Sitton of Greenville and Francis Bell Ford III of Georgetown were married June 8 at Saint James Methodist Church in Hope Town, Bahamas. Mr. Vernon Malone officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony followed by a reception at the Abaco Inn.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Sitton III of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Sitton Jr., the late Mr. Waylon Otra Ferguson and the late Mrs. Allene Ferguson Morelli, all of Greenville. She is a graduate of Christ Church Episcopal School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree in occupational therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is employed by Waterstone on Augusta in Greenville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Bell Ford Jr. of Georgetown. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Wallace Fennell Pate of Georgetown, Mrs. Wallace Fennell Pate of Georgetown, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Bell Ford Sr. of Georgetown and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson Stripling of Greenville. He is a graduate of Lowcountry Day School and the Gemological Institute of America. He is the owner of FBF Consulting LLC, a co-founder of Green Energy Fuels LLC, and is employed by Southern Energy Management in Greenville.
Mrs. Nicole Sitton Gault of Greenville, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Miss Elisabeth Easterling Hayes of Spartanburg served as maid of honor. Mrs. Stella Ford Dawson of Georgetown, sister of the groom, served as a bridesmaid.
Mr. Wallace Pate Ford of Georgetown, brother of the groom, served as best man. Mr. Eric Gillespie Armstrong of Georgetown and Mr. Henry McKennon Sitton of Greenville, brother of the bride, served as groomsmen. Mr. Andrew Piper Dawson of Georgetown, brother-in-law of the groom, and Mr. Evan Tyler Gault of Greenville, brother-in-law of the bride, served as ushers.
Flower girls were Miss Mamie Gray Gault of Greenville and Miss Stella Piper Dawson of Georgetown, nieces of the bride and groom.
Miss Elizabeth Wallace Hodges of Mount Pleasant and Ms. Mary Lynn Allison Zimmerman of Greenville served as program attendants. Mrs. Margaret Williams Humphrey of Mount Pleasant served as the reader.
Following a wedding trip to Harbour Island, the couple will reside in Greenville.
