Chelsey Nicole Shaw and Timothy Allan Nichols, both of Charleston, were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 3, at The Peanut Warehouse in Conway. The Rev. David Nichols, father of the groom, officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Nancy Shaw of Charleston. She is a graduate of Georgetown High School and Charleston Southern University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. She is employed with the Charleston Kettle Bell Club and the Charleston County Parks and Recreation.
The groom is the son of David and Rhonda Nichols of Georgetown. He is a graduate of Georgetown High School and attended Charleston Southern University. He is employed with Fresenius Kidney Care.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Justin Alexander fit-to-flare Venice lace gown featured a sweetheart neckline, satin covered buttons and a semi-cathedral-length train. The gown was adorned with a hand-beaded pearl and crystal sash, also by Justin Alexander. Her elbow-length ivory veil was trimmed in Swarovski crystals and carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, burgandy dahlias and white garden roses with accents of seeded eucalyptus, white lisianthus with minor hints of blue thistle and dusty miller. The bouquet was wrapped in antique bridal satin with white pearl accents.
Matron of honor was Lauren Shaw, sister-in-law of the bride. Maid of honor was Miranda Cantley, cousin of the bride. Attendants were Allissa Nichols, sister of the groom; Melissa Matthews; Donna Nichols; Shelby Moll; Riley Vargas; Amanda Blom; Brook Nappier; Jessica Mears; and Audrea DeBerry. Flower girls were Elie Nichols and Chloe Nichols, nieces of the groom.
Best men were Chris Nichols, brother of the groom, and Kyle Kuechler. Groomsmen were Scott Shaw, brother of the bride; Derek Harrelson; Chad Moree; Cody Clark; Nicholas Smith; Stephen Johnson; Clint Starnes, brother-in-law of the groom; Chris Fix; and Cody Simmons. Ring bearer was Carter Shaw, nephew of the bride.
Vocalists were Scott and Lauren Shaw, brother and sister-in-law of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Golden Corral and the reception was held at The Peanut Warehouse.
On Oct. 1, a miscellaneous shower was given by the ladies of South Strand Assembly of God in Murrells Inlet.
A miscellaneous tea party-themed shower was given on Oct. 15 by Yvonne Carroll, aunt of the bride, Rachel Matthews, and the ladies of First Assembly of God in Georgetown.
On Nov. 6, a shower was hosted by Lauren Shaw, sister-in-law of the bride.
A couples shower was given on Nov. 12. It was hosted by Steven and Janet Cantley, aunt and uncle of the bride, Miranda Cantley, cousin of the bride, and Arthur and Polly Lambert, grandparents of the bride.
The couple took a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, and they now live in Georgetown.
