Chelsea Nicole Ellison and Aaron Stephens Gruber were joined in marriage on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at an oceanside white chapel in Gros Islet, St. Lucia. The Reverend Leslie Birchsmith officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ellison of Myrtle Beach. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Gruber of Pawleys Island.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a classic tulle ball gown with scroll lace bodice, illusion cap sleeves, satin waistband and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of baby roses and mini calla lilies in white and pale pink. The reception in a garden gazebo followed the traditional ceremony. A dinner party was held in honor of the couple the evening of the wedding.
Prior to the wedding, the bride was honored with showers and parties hosted by Marie Roth Gephart, Sierra Ellison, and her colleagues at McDonald Elementary School.
The bride is a graduate of Socastee High School and Coastal Carolina University, and is employed as a teacher with the Georgetown County School District.
The groom is a graduate of Waccamaw High School and the College of Charleston, currently working toward attaining his Masters in Business Administration. He is employed as a practice associate at Coastal Ear, Nose and Throat.
After their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple are making their home in Murrells Inlet.
