Waccamaw High’s volleyball swept a two-game match over Georgetown on Monday night to improve to 7-2 on the season.
“It’s been going very well so far,” said Warriors coach Jill Schoen.
Waccamaw also lost to Johnsonville on Monday night, the second time the Class A Flashes have beat the Warriors this season.
Waccamaw has wins this year over Carolina Forest, Conway, Carvers Bay, Timberland, St. James (a sweep), and region rival Mullins.
Junior Mags Grafe is leading the Warriors in kills. She had seven in the match against the Sharks.
Waccamaw had 21 sces in the win over Conway. Sienna Herndon had seven and Mary Glazier had six.
Gabby Minervini served seven aces when Waccamaw beat Carvers Bay.
“Everybody’s working really hard,” Schoen said.
Georgetown also lost to Johnsonville on Monday.
