Georgetown County Sheriff’s investigators have charged two people in a Murrells Inlet bank robbery.
Brandon Lee Christmas, 29, of 5730 Highway 707 Lot 22, and Erin Jean Nichols, 31, of 1238 Eagle Creek Drive, both of Myrtle Beach, have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at the NBSC Bank in Murrells Inlet.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on March 4, one white male entered the NBSC Bank located at 3796 Highway 17 and demanded money from an employee.
The suspect then exited through the rear door with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled west on foot. The suspect was seen leaving the scene in a four-door bright blue compact hatchback vehicle.
The suspect was described as a white male approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall wearing dark clothing and a mask with a possible flannel shirt.
No one was injured during the incident and no weapon was brandished, however the suspect stated to the teller he had a pistol.
Through forensic evidence and eyewitness accounts and statements, investigators identified Christmas as the suspect, and Nichols as his accomplice.
Christmas is charged with Armed Robbery while allegedly armed with a deadly weapon.
Nichols is charged with Accessory After the Fact to a Felony A.
Both Christmas and Nichols are incarcerated at J. Reuben Long Detention Center on unrelated charges and will later be transferred to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
