Two men who were nabbed by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Division for separate incidents have been sentenced for their crimes.
Billy Jo Lynch, 31, of Greer and Rickey Joe Sansom, 23, of Greensboro, N.C., entered guilty pleas last week in front of Circuit Court Judge Larry Hyman, according to  S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson.
Lynch pled guilty to one count of criminal solicitation of a minor. He was arrested March 1, 2012 after he was caught e-mailing nude photos of himself and soliciting a person he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
Lynch was sentenced to three years suspended upon two years probation. He also must register as a sex offender.
Sansom was arrested last September. At the time he was an after school counselor for children 5-12 years of age in Greensboro.
Sansom was communicating on the Internet with what he believed to be a minor female child. During the online chats he solicited sex from the “girl,” said Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.
Sansom plead guilty to criminal solicitation of a minor and was sentenced under the youthful offender act to three years probation and he must register as a sex offender.
