If you know who fired shots during an armed robbery in Plantersville Sunday evening, the Sheriff’s Office wants to speak with you.
The incident happened at about 5 p.m. Sunday.
The robbery victims were driving on Philippi Lane when they observed some downed tree limbs blocking the road, said Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.
“ When one of the victims exited the vehicle to remove the limbs, two men came out of the woods armed with what appeared to be a handgun and a shotgun. The suspects demanded money and took the female victim’s purse. As the victims were backing away from the suspects, multiple shots were fired at their vehicle. No one was injured. The suspects fled on foot north on Jackson Village Road,” Cuthbertson said.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office Bloodhound Tracking Team responded to the scene and tracked the suspects for a short distance back to Jackson Village Road. The suspects are described as black males with slim builds. The approximate heights of the two suspects are 5’6” and 5’10”.
Anyone that can identify the suspects or has any information about the robbery is asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 546-5101 or send a tip using Text-A-Tip.
