  • Tuesday, September 3, 2013

  • Updated Monday, September 23, 2013 11:33 am

From the Georgetown County School District:
This is a reminder of the new DHEC vaccination requirement, Tdap, for all 7th graders. Tdap protects against whooping cough (pertussis).
If your child does not have proof of immunization (on file at school) for this new vaccine, he or she will not be allowed to attend school 30 days after date of enrollment.
There is an immunization clinic scheduled at Georgetown Health Department Tuesday on 9/10 with appointments available.
The appointment line scheduling number is: 1-866-411-5767. You are required to make an appointment.
As a reminder, the health department sees children with Medicaid and no insurance.
If your child has insurance coverage, you must make an appointment with your health care provider.
Please call Laura Tucker, Lead Nurse for GCSD, at 843-458-9420 if you have questions.
