A community forum will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, in the multi-purpose room at Plantersville Elementary.
The topic will be the designation of Plantersville Road as a scenic byway. Light refreshments will be served.
A scenic byway is a designated highway, street, road or route which significantly features certain intrinsic qualities that should be protected or enhanced.
It supports economic development, along with numerous benefits to the community.
The 12-mile Plantersville Road as a scenic byway would provide the opportunity to develop a community plan to conserve and enhance the natural and scenic resources that make Plantersville such an extraordinary place to visit.
