You can help Helping Hands win a Toyota van this Friday

  • Monday, July 16, 2012

If you have access to Facebook, you can cast a vote that could win Helping Hands of Georgetown a new Toyota Sienna van.
Toyota is giving 100 cars over 100 days to nonprofit that could really use a new set of wheels.
Each day Toyota takes votes on its Facebook page for five of the 100 finalists. Helping Hands of Georgetown will be on the Facebook page this Friday.
On that day, people can go on the page and cast votes for the agency which will win the van if they receive the most votes that day.
If you want to be reminded to vote next Friday, you can visit the Website  www.100carsforgood.com and then select the “vote” tab. Then go to day 68 on the timeline and click on Helping Hands of Georgetown.
Voters must be at least 13 years old and each person can only vote once.
The organization says it will use the van to expand its services in the county.
Helping Hands of Georgetown — established in 1989 — provides assistance to residents of the county during periods of crisis and helps them address needs through the most effective use of community resources.
It serves as a liaison between churches, agencies and clients in need.
