Forums planned for Georgetown mayor, council candidates

The Georgetown County Democratic Party will hold two forums for the candidates in next month’s primaries in the City of Georgetown.
The first forum will be held on Wednesday, May 22 and will feature the three candidates for mayor who will be on the ballot.
They are incumbent Jack Scoville, council member Rudolph Bradley and newcomer Marty Tennant.
The second forum will take place on Wednesday, May 29 and is being held for the candidates for the expiring council seats.
Those candidates are: Incumbents Jeanette Ard and Brendon Barber and newcomers Hobson Henry Milton and Doris Simmons.
Both forums begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Georgetown Library on Cleland Street.
Former Georgetown County School Board Chairwoman Charlesanne Buttone will be the moderator.
The primaries will be held June 11.
