Officials monitor river levels in rain-soaked region

A flood watch remains in effect for Georgetown County. According to the National Weather Service, the ground is saturated in some areas and any additional heavy rainfall would quickly lead to flooding, especially along low-lying, poor drainage, and other prone locations near creeks and streams.
