A 38-year-old Whites Creek Road man said he is being harassed by the mother of his child and her 38-year-old husband, who, according to the victim, claimed to be a deputy in a phone call.
The man said his baby’s mother calls him repeatedly and leaves written messages in his mailbox claiming he is behind on child support, which he claims is totally false.
According to the report, the man has no warrants against him.
The victim said on July 30, a message was left on his voicemail from a blocked number.
The caller identified himself as a county deputy who claimed the victim has a warrant for his arrest for failure to pay.
The deputy who responded to the call said he has known the male suspect all of his life and knows it is his voice on the recording.
The victim said he would like the woman prosecuted for unlawful use of a telephone and her husband for impersonation of an officer.
The ex may be to blame
A woman from Old Ashley Loop in Pawleys Island called deputies July 30 to report she is missing a $2,000 diamond ring that had been in a bowl on top of her dresser.
She said she noticed the ring was missing in early May but waited nearly three months to report it because she was hoping it would show back up.
She said she recently learned her husband’s ex-wife was in the home in May. They believe she may be responsible because she was not supposed to be in their home and because she has been arrested in the past for shoplifting.
Theft from construction site
Someone took about $15,000 worth of building materials from the site of the new Dollar General being built on Highway 701 near Choppee Road.
The items taken were mainly metals that had no serial numbers.
There are no suspects.
Woman attacked by
A woman from Murrells Inlet said her 20-year-old ex- boyfriend assaulted her and damaged her car while she was at his home on Fisher Trail July 31.
She said the two were arguing when he hit her on the face several times.
She also said he pushed her down and hit her head on the ground several times.
The man is also accused of smashing her cell phone and using a bat to break a tail light on her car.
The man was arrested.
A 17-year-old female from North Street in Andrews said the “old man” who lives behind her threatened her and said he would burn her house down.
She said the 59-year-old man threw a log at her trailer causing a dent in the siding.
She said after he threw the log, he started screaming at them to get out or he would blow up the mobile home.
The man allegedly drove in the woman’s yard and spun around with the vehicle, damaging her lawn.
The man was arrested Aug. 1 and released on bond the next day.
Information is subject to change as the investigation proceeds. Individuals arrested and/or charged have not been convicted.
