Carl Edward Casselman, 56, beloved husband of Bobbi Ussery Casselman, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Tidelands Health – Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Casselman was born the son of Beaufort Gilbert Casselman and Juanita Ward Casselman on October 23, 1958 in Kingstree. He was a 1978 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He began working with Santee Cooper in 1983 and retired in 2008 due to a brain tumor. He was a member of the Piney Forest Baptist Church where he served in several ministries. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted husband, beloved father and Popa, loving brother and loyal friend. His sickness never discouraged him from telling others what God had done for him. When asked Carl would reply, “I am doing good.”
Carl and Bobbi were married on May 13, 1980 and celebrated 35 years together. Their home was blessed with: two children, Carla C. (Will) Morris and Morgan N. Casselman; and three grandchildren, Jackson, Bradley, and Julia Carleigh Morris. He also leaves behind: four brothers, Harris (Vicky) Casselman, Harold (Margie) Casselman, Bruce (Glenda) Casselman, and John Wilson “JW” (Karen) Casselman; and four sisters, Harriett (Teddy) Ethridge, Gennelle (Marion) Young, Barbara Tisdale, and Carolyn (Phillip) Fulton.
He was predeceased by: his parents; and a brother, Sylvester Casselman.
A Home Going Celebration was at 5PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Piney Forest Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation was from 6-8PM, Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Andrews Chapel.

Daniel Cooper, 90, died on July 23, 2015 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Nazareth A.M.E. Church, Suttons Community, Andrews, SC, where Rev. Johnny Vereen is pastor.
Mr. Cooper was born on September 14, 1924 in Andrews, a son of Robert Cooper and Mrs. Viola Green Cooper. For several years, he was self employed as a taxi cab driver.

Clara Mae Cribb
Clara Mae Cribb, 82, wife of Don Cribb, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 25, 2015.
Mrs. Cribb was born in Hannah, SC a daughter of the late Borie and Ruby Bazen. Mrs. Cribb attended Hannah Schools. She retired in 1995 from Georgetown County School system after 21 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don Norton Cribb; children, Donnie (Donna) Cribb of Johnsonville, SC, Jean (Robin) Vaughn of Socastee, SC Rev. Craig (Sharon) Cribb of Scranton, SC, Jackie (Jay) Poston of Johnsonville, SC; grandchildren, Jamie, Vernon, Tyler, Justin and Gary Cribb, Michael Vaughn, Micki King, Christina Ray, Katie Mathis and several great grandchildren; brothers, Billy (Cozetta) Bazen, Randolph Bazen, Harold (Diane) Bazen, Wayne (Betty ) Bazen, Lavern (Patsy) Bazen, Mary (LeRoy) Hucks, Murriel (Marion) Collins and Judy (Freddis) Strickland.
She was predeceased by brother Borie (Daphne) Bazen Jr.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 27, 2015 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, followed in the church cemetery.

Lucian “Pete” Fitzgerald Kinder, 81, died Monday, July 27, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Kinder was born in Andrews, a son of the late Lucian Percy Kinder and Sally Fitzgerald Kinder. He grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School and Clemson University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Kinder was a retired employee of International Paper Company. He became a private pilot in 1969 and always loved flying. He served as chairman of the Georgetown County Airport Commission for eight years. During his tenure, the runway in Andrews was resurfaced and a new terminal building was constructed at the Georgetown Airport. Mr. Kinder was a member of Andrews Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kinder was predeceased by: his wife, Barbara Bell Kinder; a son, Lucian “Luke” Fitzgerald Kinder; and a daughter, Barbara Elizabeth Kinder.
Surviving are: a daughter, Melissa K. Maresca (Mark) of Charleston; a son, John B. Kinder (Katie) of Chattanooga, Tenn; two granddaughters, Lauren and Kathryn Maresca; a brother, Jack D. Kinder (LaJean) of Andrews.
Funeral services will be eleven o’clock Friday morning, July 31, 2015, at the graveside in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. W. Clinton Stockton.

Son of the late Katherine Marie Wilkie Ruth and Ray Taylor Ruth.
Honor Graduate of Furman University where he received a business administration degree. Charlie was a member and President of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He played basketball and was a member of 1954 team which led the nation in scoring. He also lettered in track. Charlie served his country in the United States Army. He is currently a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pawleys Island, SC.
He held management positions with Deering Milliken Company and Sonoco Products Company. In 1983, Charlie became owner of Litchfield Home Maintenance, Inc, one of oldest property management companies in the Litchfield Beach area. Throughout his life in South Carolina, Florida and Texas, Charlie served his community and church in many ways.
Charles is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rebecca Hayes Ruth; sons, Charles Ray Ruth, Jr. (Lisa) of Columbia, SC and Nathaniel Hayes Ruth (Deanna) of Pawleys Island, SC. ; daughter, Katherine Louise Miller (Christopher) of Columbia, SC; grandsons, Charles Ray Ruth, III, and Fletcher Hayes Ruth; granddaughters, Katelyn Marie Ruth, Mary Eva Miller, and Helen Louise Miller.
A celebration of his life will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Pawleys Island, SC at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 1, 2015. Interment will be in church columbarium. A time of fellowship will take place at the church after the service and then friends are invited to stop back at Charlie’s home in Litchfield at any time to share memories.

Marjorie Blasky Watts, 93, widow of Henry Ernest Watts, died July 28, 2015, at Prince George Healthcare Center in Georgetown.
A daughter of the late Rudolph George Blasky and Jennie Lapham Smoak Blasky, Mrs. Watts was born in Georgetown on March 17, 1922. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Surviving Mrs. Watts are her three daughters, Penny Watts Mercer (John T.) of Georgetown, Patrice Watts McClellan (John) of Honey Hill, and June Watts Perry (Michael) of Conway. She is also survived by a brother, George S. Blasky of Newport News, Virginia, and four grandchildren, Shannon C. Edwards, Erin E. Ethridge, Isaac H. Chestnut, and Adam J. Chestnut.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Watts was predeceased by a sister, Thedra B. Doniphan.
Funeral services will be four o’clock Thursday afternoon, July 30, 2015, at the graveside at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ted A. Sherrill officiating. The family will receive friends in the First Baptist Church parlor at five o’clock.
