Man stable after early morning Andrews shooting

  • Saturday, April 25, 2015

Police are searching for the person or persons who may have been responsible for the shooting of an Andrews man early Saturday morning.

At about 1:45 a.m., Andrews police responded to Shaw’s Corner Store — near the intersections of Main Street and Jones Avenue — to find Edward Lee Warren, 41, South Maple Street, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

An APD press release indicated Warren’s wounds were consistent with that of a small caliber handgun and that it was unclear as to how many times he had been shot. Warren was taken to the emergency room at Georgetown Memorial Hospital, where he remains in stable condition, according to Tidelands Health spokesperson Margaret Lamb.

Police are asking anyone with information concerning the shooting or the shooter to contact them at 843-264-5223. Anonymous tips can also be submitted at the same number to Capt. Melvyn Garrett.
