A new orthopedic surgeon has joined the medical staffs of Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Dr. Jesse Welter, who has joined Dr. Mark E. Triana in practice at Georgetown Orthopaedics, specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic injuries of the hips, knees, and shoulders. He performs a broad scope of orthopedic procedures, from less invasive ones such as arthroscopy to major procedures, including joint replacement and revision joint replacement surgeries.
Dr. Welter earned his degree in osteopathic medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed postgraduate training at Memorial Hospital of York (Pennsylvania), Wellspan Hospital of York and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Osteopathic Association, the South Carolina Orthopaedic Association and the South Carolina Medical Association.
