Bike to Boardwalk: Bike through Hobcaw’s forest to the Reserve’s beautiful salt marsh boardwalk on North Inlet. Bike five miles (roundtrip) on gravel roads through Hobcaw Barony from 10 a.m. to noon. Hike to clambank: Join Lee Brockington for a trip ot to Clambank Landing, then hike two and one half miles through the salt marsh discussing history, ecology and conservation at Hobcaw Barony from 1 to 4 p.m. Call 546-4623 to register - $20.

9/11 service: The community and businesses of Andrews are sponsoring the third annual 9/11 Remembrance and Recognition Service at the pavilion ( behind the Andrews library) at 4 p.m. for food, fellowship, and awards.

VFW DINNER: VFW Post 6444, its Ladies Auxiliary and guests will have dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Adults, $7; children 6 to 12, $3; and under 5 years of age, free. Domestic violence: Tony Porter, an internationally known speaker and founder of A Call to Men, will be the keynote speaker at a luncheon in Pawleys Island. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Faith Memorial Episcopal Church, 113 Baskerville Dr., Pawleys Island. The luncheon will be hosted by Georgetown County Sheriff Lane Cribb to raise awareness about domestic violence in the area and G-MEN (Georgetown Men Endorsing Non-violence), a group started by Sheriff Cribb to support the Family Justice Center of Georgetown County. Porter’s comments will center on “working to reduce the injuries and deaths resulting from domestic violence.

Herb Society: The Low Country Herb Society (LCHS) will meet at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church in Litchfield. Kris Reynolds, an Inlet Culinary Garden partner, will present a program on growing plants that will attract beneficial bugs to your garden.
Kaminski House: The Friends of the Kaminski House will meet at the Stewart Parker House at 5:15 p.m. The Stewart Parker House is located at 1019 Front St. in downtown Georgetown.
Autism: The Georgetown County Autism Support Group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Georgetown DDSN/The Cooper Center, 95 Academy Way.
Story Time: Wee Wigglers Story Time will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Georgetown Library, 405 Cleland St. Little ones will love this high-energy, interactive storytime, complete with a craft and take-home activities.
