Crum leads Sharks to 24-8 win

Alan Crum had two touchdowns and Zach Werba added a third, as St. James beat Andrews 24-8 on Aug. 29 for its first win of the season.

The Sharks offense had 96 rushing yards and 93 passing yards.

William Gallgaher led the ground game with 46 yards. Werba had 34 and Quedarius Grate had 22.

Wetrba was 12-for-17 passing. Trace Smith was the leading receiver with 65 yards. Grate had 18 yards, Alijah Pursley had 14 and Jackson Hurston had 11.

Charles Ouverson also had a 48-yard field goal and averaged 43 yards on punts.

The St. James defesne forced and recovered six fumbles.

Crum had 10 tackles, Bradley Newhorter had nine, Hunter Cook had six, and Cody Webster, Cody Toomer, Logan Richards, Asheik Greene and Jamarius Faulkner had three each.

St. James (1-1) hosts Carolina Forest on Sept. 5.
