Carlos Smalls got the only touchdown for Andrews High on Aug. 29, as the Yellow Jackets lost 24-8 to St. James.
The Yellow Jackets offense ran for 252 yards and passed for 51 yards.
St. James had 96 rushing yards and 93 passings yards.
The Yellow Jackets were hurt by six turnovers.
Johnathan Grant led the Andrews ground game with 77 yards. William Lewis had 75 yards, Maleek Johnson had 48, Demontre Wright had 19, C.J. Bone had 16 and Cecil Murphy had 16,
Bone was 5-for-8 passing.
Jailyn Carrington was the leading receiver with 39 yards. Jaqwon Wright had 12 yards.
Tyreike Steele led the Andrews defense with 12 tackles. Jaqwon Wright had nine tackles, Toryan Washington had eight, Murphy and Raekwon Acosta had seven each, Demontre Wright had six, Stefone Langley had five, and Smalls had three.
Andrews (1-1) travels to Georgetown on Sept. 5.
