Simpson Lumber Company recently selected Adrian M. Grimmage as the 2014-15 recipient of a $3,000 educational scholarship.
Adrian is a daughter of James and Cynthia Grimmage of the Lanes Creek community. Adrianís father is a 25 year maintenance employee of the Georgetown facility.
Grimmage attends Miller-Motte Technical College where she is studying to become a medical office assistant. In addition to receiving the monetary award, Grimmage and her parents were treated to dinner at Lands End Restaurant by the Georgetown facility lead team.
Simpson Lumber Company sponsors one annual scholarship at each of its facilities in the southeastern and northwestern United States.
To be eligible, applicants must qualify as an employee, spouse of an employee, or child of an employee who are full-time college students or college bound high school seniors.
Some criteria in the selection process include demonstration of moral character, leadership and citizenship, scholastic achievement, with merit being a principal determinant.
