James Branham Jr.

James Branham, Jr., 86, widower of Annie Green Branham, passed away on Fri., Aug. 29, 2014 at National HealthCare of Garden City.

Born on Sept. 12, 1927, in Camden, he was a son of the late James Branham, Sr. and the late Iva Cook Branham.

Mr. Branham attended Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed eating fried chicken and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two children, Jeanne Richardson (Robert) and Iva Thomas all of Andrews; six grandchildren, Robert Richardson, II of Georgetown, Derrick Richardson of Travelers Rest, Tammy Wildes of Georgetown, R.E. Richardson of Andrews, Christopher Thomas of Andrews and Cyle Thomas of Andrews; seven great grandchildren, Matt Richardson, Katherine Richardson, R.J. Richardson, Robbie Richardson, Garrett Richardson, Eric Richardson and Wyatt McClellan; two sisters, Betty Thompson and Annie Young both of Camden; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Branham; two brothers, H.B. Branham and Buddy Branham; and two sisters, Katie Boone and Viola Moats.

Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. on Mon., Sept. 1, 2014 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Geraldine Bednego and Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Robert Davis

Robert Alton Davis, age 82, of Cheraw died Sat., Aug. 30, 2014.

Born in Marion he was a son of the late Robert Benjamin and Edith Goude Davis.

He was a member of American Legion Post 114. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family especially his grandchildren. He was a US Army Veteran and had also served in the SC National Guard and the SC State Guard.

Surviving is his wife of sixty years, Juanita Boatwright Davis of the home, sons, Dennis Davis of Cottageville, Donald Davis of Cushion, AR, daughters, Sharon Bryant of Andrews, Christine Smith of Cheraw, Hope Nolan of Wallace, Carla Cooper of Cheraw, a sister, Juanita West of Dunn, NC, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, a daughter, Sheila D. Cooper, brothers, Francis Davis, Marvin Davis, Jeff Davis and a sister, Barbara Yarbrough.

The family received friends 5 to 7 p.m., Tues, Sept. 2, 2014 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wedn., Sept. 3, 2014 at Westside Baptist Church, Cheraw. Burial with military honors will be held in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

Hazel Norris

Hazel Norris, 76, passed away on Mon., Sept. 1, 2014 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.

Born on Aug. 22, 1938, in Columbus County, NC, she was a daughter of Gertha Norris and the late Earl Norris.

She was a member of Screven Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School class and a former member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte where she sang in the church choir.

Survivors include her mother of Georgetown; a brother, Ed Norris (Nancy) of Georgetown; a sister, Barbara Norris Hunt (Tony K) of Laurenburg, NC; a sister in law, Judy Norris of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Dock Norris; and a nephew, Shawn Norris.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., Sept. 4, 2014 at Screven Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tabor City, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
