Sam Floyd and Rep. Ronnie Sabb will go head to head in a runoff election Sept. 16 following the special election primary Sept. 2.
The unofficial results, as reported by the State Election Commission:
Carl Anderson - 2707 (19.2%)
Sam Floyd - 4493 (31.8%)
Cezar McKnight - 3443 (24.4%)
Ronnie Sabb - 3483 (24.7%)
Because no one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, a runoff election is required between the two highest voted candidates.
In Georgetown County, Rep. Carl Anderson took an early lead in the polls, and finished with the majority of the votes. However, he received the lowest number of votes in three other counties in the five-county district.
Results from the other counties, within state Senate District 32, were not available by press time Tuesday evening.
The results below are from Georgetown County:
Number of Georgetown County precincts reporting: 27 of 30
The other three precincts are provional ballots.
Senate District 32
Carl Anderson – 2181
Sam Floyd – 995
Cezar McKnight – 423
Ronnie Sabb – 662
Total ballots cast: 4261
Total registered voters: 24,228
All four candidates are registered with the Democratic Party and there is no other party running for the seat.

The Georgetown County votes are unofficial and will be certified on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. at the county election office.
