Shag Club: The South Strand Shag Club will meet at 8 p.m. at VFW Post 10420 in Murrells Inlet. Come listen to some great shag tunes and dance the night away with DJ Bill Jones. farmers Market: The Georgetown farmers market at East Bay Park is every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Pawleys Island farmers market at the Waccamaw Regional Recreation Center is every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

BIBLE STUDY: Pine Crest Baptist Church in Andrews is every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Refreshments will follow the meeting. The church is located at 3689 County Line Road, Andrews.

GBA meetings: The GBA will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at the Parker-Stewart House on Front St. from 8 to 9 a.m. All merchants are welcome to attend.

Bereavement: A bereavement support group meets twice monthly on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 5 – 6:15 p.m. in the small conference room of Morningside of Georgetown, the assisted living facility at 2628 N. Fraser St. The group is facilitated by Harrison Grey, D.Min., Ph.D., Bereavement Coordinator for Tidelands Community Hospice of Georgetown (546-3410.)

single moms: The Georgetown Outreach Ministries, Inc. offers weekly empowering sessions helping young single moms prepare for the workforce, develop positive attitudes, enhance decision making skills, become economically viable and develop stable, healthy families.
