New York Times best-selling author Susan Vreeland is coming to Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet on Sept. 5 to celebrate her new novel, “Lisette’s List.”
Steeped in WWII history, weaving fact and fiction, Vreeland’s novel tells the story of one woman’s fight to save French paintings aided by Marc Chagall, one of the most prominent Jewish artists of the 20th Century, as he waits in hiding.
Vreeland has written four New York Times best sellers – “The Passion of Artemisia,” “Luncheon of the Boating Party,” “Clara and Mr. Tiffany” and “Girl in Hyacinth Blue,” which was adapted into a Hallmark Hall of Fame TV drama.
A luncheon featuring Vreeland will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Kimbels at Wachesaw Plantation, 1930 Governors Landing Road, Murrells Inlet. Lunch is $25. For reservations, call 843-235-9600.
Also on Sept. 5 there will be a book signing for Vreeland’s book, “Lisette’s List” at 2 p.m. at Litchfield Books, 11421 Ocean Highway, Fresh Market Commons, Pawleys Island.
