Learn the basics of making jams and jellies. A canning workshop has been scheduled for Thurs., Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Horry County Extension Office, 1949 Industrial Park Road, Conway.
This workshop is open to anyone wishing to learn how to preserve food safely or wanting to update their canning knowledge.
Participants will be provided canning materials and will leave with a Ball Blue Book and a jar of Carrot Cake Jam.
The workshop is limited to the first 10 paid participants.
There is a non refundable fee of $30 per person and the registration deadline is Sept. 2. Participants are asked to wear close-toed shoes.
