Beck basketball tournament

  • Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Eileen Keithly/South Strand News Georgetown County Parks and Recreation hosted an end of summer basketball tournament Aug. 23, at the Beck Recreation facility in Georgetown. Georgetown County teams enjoyed a hoop-filled day and all the hot dogs and hamburgers they could eat. Coaches manned the grill while parents prepared the buffet lines. Georgetown’s Deakidd Anderson goes up high for the rebound; coming down to find himself among a sea of Team D.E.F.F. Blue squad jerseys. Anderson was able to hang on to the ball and weave his way through the blue jerseys to the other end of the court, where his team cleared him a path to the basket for two points.
