Two accused of Wedgefield Pro Shop burglary

One woman has been arrested and a man is being sought in connection with a burglary at the Wedgefield Plantation Pro Shop.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson said investigators are looking for Kristopher Baron Cooper, 37, of 614 Wraggs Ferry Road. He is wanted for burglary.

Mariah Lee Ray, 42, of 70 Waxwing Street was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Aug. 18 and was charged with one count of Petit Larceny.

On August 18, two suspects forced entry through the back door of Wedgefield Plantation Country Club.

“The suspects stole several golf clubs and computer equipment from the clubhouse and fuel from the maintenance shed,” Cuthbertson states.

The two suspects initially appeared on surveillance video at approximately 12:00 a.m. in a newer model black in color four-door vehicle. Thye returned a short time later in an older model red in color Jeep Cherokee.

Anyone that knows the whereabouts of Baron Cooper or has any information regarding the burglary is urged to call the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 546- 5101.
