Drilling, match play offered at Stables

Sr. USTA tennis players Mike Zavacky and John Jacobus beat the heat to play a few sets of tennis at GCPR Stables Tennis Center in Pawleys Island.

Zavacky and Jacobus are both looking forward to the Summer Shade Shelter Fundraiser Aug 9.

All proceeds will go towards the materials used in building clay court Shade Shelters at Stables.

Zavacky and friend Ernie Cribb will donate their time and talent to build the shelters for Stables at no cost.

Adult men can enjoy a fun night of drilling and match play on Wednesday evenings 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Men’s Drill and Play.

Ladies can enjoy a fun night of drilling and match play on Monday evenings 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Both men and women players can enjoy the “Mixers” program on Saturday afternoons 4 to 6p.m.

Mixers is mostly doubles play with some singles play mixed in. Stables staff organizes the match play.
