Each year, American Hemerocallis Society members vote for the most popular daylilies grown in the region.
The voting is based on size, shape, and color of the bloom along with overall plant attractiveness and vigor.
During the Aug. 10 meeting of the Georgetown Area Daylily Club, the members will look at the nominees, discuss their various attributes, and submit their votes. Even non-members will enjoy seeing these beauties and discussing them with members and hybridizers.
In addition, the club will talk about this growing season – what has worked well, what has failed or caused a problem – and it will have lots of experts who can answer questions about growing daylilies.
This meeting will be held at Browns Ferry Gardens, 13515 Browns Ferry Road, Georgetown, on Sun., Aug. 10, starting at 2:30 p.m.
