After receiving complaints about drug activity in the Andrews area, the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation and made three arrests Saturday morning, according to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.
Agents of the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) along with the Sheriff’s Office deputies and Georgetown Police Department executed a drug related search warrant.
“As a result, agents arrested three individuals and recovered approximately a quarter pound of marijuana, digital scales and packaging materials, a stolen .40 caliber fully loaded handgun and approximately $1,300.00 in cash,” Cuthberston stated.
Arrested with charges pending are: Aaron Clent Williams,32, of 826 N Beech Avenue, Andrews Distribution of Marijuana, Possession with the Intent of Distribution of marijuana and Possession Stolen Handgun
• Cleontine Leontine Leggette, 32, of 826 N Morgan Avenue, Andrews, for Possession with the Intent of Distribution of marijuana and Possession Stolen Handgun.
• Sha’rone Lamont Farmer, 17, of 50 Armstead Street, Andrews for Possession with the Intent to Distribute marijuana.
They were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center and are awaiting formal charges.
