The City of Georgetown is proposing the homes at 318 Wood Street (below) and 313 Cannon Street (right) be demolished. Under the city Code of Ordinances, the city can “exercise its police powers” to demolish any dwelling unfit for human habitation. According to the applications submitted to the Architectural Review Board, Building and Zoning Administrator Rick Martin says the structures are inhabitable. The Architectural Review Board will review the demolition applications at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 in City Hall.
