Fire victims need help

  • Thursday, July 31, 2014

To the Editor:

My name is Veronica Greggs. On May 10 my house in Plantersville was completely destroyed by fire. My family and I were not able to salvage anything.

My daughter received second degree burns to her face, back, shoulder, and arms. My father was burned so badly that he was air lifted to the burn unit in Augusta, Ga.

My oldest sister Pamela died on May 16, 2014. One day after Pamela was laid to rest, my father died as a result of the fire.

Because we do not have a home, we have been living with my youngest sister, Wanda.

I am in need of financial assistance, and I am sincerely requesting donations. The school year will begin shortly and my children are in need of school clothing and supplies.

If you are able to help us, we ask you to please send all donations to Veronica Greggs Family Burn Fund at Wells Fargo Bank in Georgetown.

We thank you in advance for your willingness to assist us with this important request.
